Resilience - Freedom Tower 1, New York

USD 600.00

I chose this angle because it represents the best and most resilient features of New York. In the foreground is one of the city’s first churches framed by an original tree which guides the eye up to the looming tower which has replaced the twin towers which were destroyed in 9/11. This resilience of the American spirit in the face of adversity is something I was trying to caprture with minimal lines. This work is uniquely devoid of shading because I wanted to capture the elegant and stark nature of what I was seeing.
